”Is there a distinction between the different expressions of the "book form" at the intersection between image and writing? What is the boundary between photobook, phototext and artist's book? What is the role of the text and caption in relation to the image?

The exhibition itinerary, whose title is inspired by Reading a picture by Lalla Romano, tries to answer some questions through the research and narratives of international artists, photographers and writers merged into the books on display. These are books that assemble photographs and texts and are animated by a particular sensitivity towards places and spaces.”
